Introducing the wonderful letter
Hidden: Everything is hidden on an X-ray until viewed in the correct light.
Famous: Excalibur - I'm sure everyone has heard of the sword in the stone (thanks Google)
Alive: Xerces, blue butterfly (thanks Google)
Crosses In Quilts: My Irish Chain Quilt is one of my favourites. Made from 'ugly' fabrics it turned out much better that I dreamed.

I must try an Irish Chain some time - but I have a few UFOs to clear before I start anything else. Yours looks great and I wouldn't have guessed it was "ugly" fabrics.
Your quit is wonderful. The coloured fabrics tone well and are very rich like blueberries and raspberries.
Clever sword! Amazing how often and how greatly we rely on the X-ray which is still up there with all the other scans.
I love Excalibur and that blue butterfly. I relied totally on Google this week...my Irish Chain is away from home. Lovely to be able to use your own quilt.
I am amazed how many different x's were posted. Love the butterfly and I have never done an Irish Chain quilt before, must give it a go.
Your quilt looks anything but ugly. Amazing colours in the butterfly.
Interesting sometimes my comments come up anonymous. Must have hot wrong button before.
