Rain, Glorious Rain!

We have been enjoying some lovely rain, the garden and our water tanks really needed it. The weather has also been a bit cooler and I've managed to get some sewing done.

My January Journal quilt is finished, the theme was 'Seasons' and the techniques were Embellishment, Machine Embroidery, Free Motion Emb, Bobbin Thread, Metallic Thread, Buttons, Charms etc. I had planned to make a quilt using the 4 seasons but when I started pulling out the fabrics I found the bunch of artificial flowers and the rest is history. I did do a little free motion stitching and used metallic thread and beads.

Sue, your quilt looks wonderful... it's a bit hard to see but you have quilted more flowers on it as well? Well done.
cheers - Faye

Hello, I really like your flowers. I am starting a journal class in a few weeks and had already decided on using flowers as my main focus for the 12 blocks we will make. I will keep your blog in my file to check more of your posts. Thanks Mary
