After completing the applique I wanted to frame the flower and tried various ideas with pencil sketches.....drawing is not one of my talents.
Finally decided on log cabin blocks in a variety of purples. If I don't have visitors tomorrow I hope to get the quilting done.
I was going to add a few more pictures of my current projects but I'm having trouble uploading them, maybe it will be better in the morning.

Ooh it is beautiful- iris is such a beautiful flower, and purple is a lovely color, and ovals are wonderful shapes. The border is inspired and the whole thing looks wonderful overall. I know I would love to receive it, so I'm sure whoever the recipient is will also.
it's beautiful, Sue! Please tell me it's coming to California!
Great job framing that iris! I'm very impressed!

I do love this-
Sue, your iris and the border setting that you created is stunning - as is everything you do.
